The City of Leeds SSC is a not-for-profit sports club that functions only with the commitment and support of its dedicated volunteers. Synchronised Swimming is a sport which can be enjoyed at any age, from 6 to 60 plus. The City of Leeds works with the feeder club Pudsey Pearls within the Leeds Synchronised Swimming Scheme to create a synchronised swimming programme that is participant led, whilst enabling everyone to reach their full potential in the sport. The sport brings communities together, from across the North East, to volunteer and compete side by side. It keeps young people, in particular female, regularly participating in sport and enjoying aquatic
activity.

In order to grow further as a club and a sport we must continue to fundraise towards essential equipment, competition costs and the
day to day costs of running a rapidly expanding club. The City of Leeds competes regularly at a National Level, achieving regular podium places since its commencement in 2008, and features in regional newspapers 'The Evening Post', 'The Pudsey Times' and national magazine 'The Swimming Times'. The club recently featured in a spot on 'The One Show' BBC 1 and will take part in 'Synchronised' an Olympiad event at Ponds Forge in June.

If your company would like to sponsor the club in any way, please contact Head coach Sarah Speers on sarah.speers@leeds.gov.uk
Sponsorship
What would your money go towards? There are a number of things the club currently needs:

£50 would pay for one set of either new floats, bottles or therabands for swimmers to train with in or out of the pool or subsidise one level 1 coaching qualification.

£150 would pay for music licence fees for one year or subsidise one level 2 coaching qualification.

£200 would pay for all athletes to have a new piece of land training kit.

£500- £700 would pay for one full set of competition costumes.

£800 would pay for a new music system and underwater speaker.

£1000 would go towards the cost of holding a local training camp for all athletes or towards the costs of an international training camp.

Cash donations or in-kind donations would be greatly appreciated by all members and athletes of the club.
